ARTIST REGISTRATION | OAST 2027

This post is also available in: Español (Spanish)

Welcome to the 16th Edition of the Open Art Studios Tour!

We are excited to begin another edition of OAST alongside the vibrant artistic community of Todos Santos and Pescadero.

Organized by La Sociedad de La Palapa, this cultural event brings together artists, studios, and galleries to celebrate local creativity while raising funds to support educational programs and scholarships for children and young people in our region.

We invite you to be part of OAST 2027 and learn more about the registration and participation process.

1. Artist Registration

October 9 – November 6, 2026

Registration will be open for approximately one month. Each artist must complete an individual registration form, even if they share a studio or gallery with other participating artists.

Registration Forms:

Spanish: Complete the Registration Form

English: Link coming soon.

Need Help Registering?

We will offer two in-person assistance sessions for artists who need support completing the online registration form:

  • Wednesday, October 21: 2:30 – 5:00 PM
  • Saturday, October 24: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Location: Gran Salón at La Escuela de La Palapa.

Address: Calle del Huerto, between Guayaba and Mango streets, ZIP Code 23300, Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico.

We recommend reviewing the registration form in advance and bringing the requested information with you to make the process easier and more efficient.

2. Artist Photographs and Online Profile

Once you have submitted your registration form and received confirmation from our team, we will share a personalized Google Drive folder with your name, where you will be asked to upload 5 photographs:

  • 1 artist portrait: A clear, high-quality photograph in which your face is easily recognizable.
  • 1 photograph of your featured artwork.
  • 3 additional photographs of artworks you would like to share with visitors.

These images will be used to create your artist profile on the OAST website.

The artist directory will feature a small preview image of your work. When visitors click on your name, they will be able to explore your additional artwork photographs and artist portrait.

3. Communication and Event Organization

We encourage all participating artists to join the official OAST WhatsApp group, our primary communication channel for sharing announcements, updates, important dates, and information throughout the coming months.

We also invite you to read the Artist Manual, which provides essential information about the event, participation guidelines, and its educational mission.

Artist Manual:

OAST is made possible by a small organizing team and a dedicated network of volunteers. As a result, some coordination and administrative processes may take additional time.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, collaboration, and attention to official communications as we work together to bring this three-day cultural event to life.

4. Studio Locations and Tour Map

Once artist registrations have been confirmed and photographs have been received, we will begin developing the OAST 2027 digital tour map.

The digital map will be shared with participating artists so they can review and confirm that their studio or gallery location is accurate.

Following this verification process, we will prepare the printed map that visitors will use throughout the tour.

This process will take place over the coming months, and we will continue sharing updates as each stage progresses.

5. Meet the Artist and Art Auction

OAST begins on Friday, February 19, 2027, with Meet the Artist, our opening night celebration.

As part of this special evening, we host an art auction featuring works voluntarily donated by participating artists. Funds raised through the auction directly support the educational programs of La Sociedad de La Palapa.

Opening night also offers visitors an opportunity to meet the artists, discover their work, and begin planning which studios they would like to explore during the Saturday and Sunday tour.

Participation in the auction is entirely voluntary and provides an additional opportunity for artists to connect with audiences while contributing to local education.
