Meet the Artists

Mariana Fena (Durango, 1993): Mariana is a tattoo artist, illustrator, and designer known for her signature style combining bold black-and-white lines with vibrant, colorful backgrounds. Her work fuses elements of nature, Mexican culture, and cosmology, featuring iconic motifs like the tlacuache, maize, and landscapes inspired by Mexico. She works with techniques such as Indian ink, acrylics, and digital editing.

She has participated in exhibitions like Keep Pescadero Wild (Cerritos, 2023), Historias gráficas de México (ABC Art Baja, 2023), and collaborated with the mezcal brand Luna Maguey. Mariana also co-founded the fanzine La Fanzzina and has been recognized in contests such as Tu FENAL a blanco y negro and Historietas por la igualdad.

Jesi Efe: I am Jesi, an artist originally from Argentina who brought with me a few migrant images, now intertwined with new ones inspired by my new home in Todos Santos. My artistic journey spans from painting to tattooing. Whether on canvas or skin, my works depict women and nature coexisting and challenging each other. I enjoy creating art that tells a story—sometimes my own and sometimes that of the world around me.
