Meet the Artist:

After a long career as a crafts person working with leather and sheepskin, over 25 years ago Jason Durland discovered the art of Woodturning at the same time as discovering Todos Santos. Since then, he has perfected the use of local wood, inlaying semi-precious stone to create enchanting functional pieces as well as beautiful objects for display. He has also mastered the art of plant dyeing quality silk scarves using native leaves and flowers, and the ancient Japanese technique of Arashi Shibori which employs the magical blue dye that comes from the treasured plant Indigo.
