Luis Kerch is a leading figure in contemporary landscape painting, whose artistic practice lies at the intersection of phenomenological observation and lyrical abstraction. With a solid international academic foundation—a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Miami and a Master’s degree from the Pratt Institute in New York—he was born in Mexico and received academic training in the United States and Europe. His life has unfolded between Europe and the Americas, and he currently works in Baja California Sur, Mexico, and the Canary Islands, Spain, a territory near the African continent.

Kerch has developed a visual language that transcends geographical representation to depict the lived experience of nature.
